Toolbar Removal From Word Processing Programs

Toolbars in your word processing program can help you perform different functions. Toolbars are commonly found under the main menu bar of the program. There can be multiple toolbars in your program. More number of toolbars means that your program will have increased functions on its window. However, as the number of toolbars in your program goes up, your program could become slower and may hang occasionally. You can activate or deactivate these toolbars, as you wish, and make your program more stable. In this post, we will find out how to remove toolbars from your word processing program.

Steps Involved
  • Go to the Help menu corresponding to the toolbar. It is also important to find out the list of items in the menu associated with the toolbar.
  • The View option in the menu bar will give you the list of toolbars in the program.
  • From the list, find out the toolbars, which you frequently use, while running the program. The Standard and Formatting toolbars are essential or frequently used ones. Therefore, you may not turn off these toolbars.
  • You may find other toolbars in the list like the Formatting and Standard toolbars. These toolbars may not be of any use to you unless and until you are working with pictures or graphics in the program. Therefore, you may deactivate these toolbars.
  • You may also choose to resize the toolbar. For this, press and hold the left mouse button and then drag the toolbar.
  • Another method to deactivate a toolbar is to right click on it and choose the option Turn Off. Keep in mind that different programs will have different options to turn off the feature. Sometimes, it would be the Disable option in the toolbar.
  • You may also navigate to the Help menu of the toolbar and find out the steps to enable it again. 
  • Most of the toolbars function with different shortcut keys. In order to find out these keys, go to the Help section in the toolbar menu.

Set Rules To Forward An Email From Outlook To Gmail

Outlook is the email client program from Microsoft, which has large number of users across the world. You can configure this email client to download your emails from the server to your personal computer. This email client is rich with features. You can configure rules in the program and this will allow you to perform different actions with the incoming emails. It allows you to forward your incoming mails to a different email address automatically. All you have to do is set rules for this feature to work. In this help with Outlook section, we will assist you to set rules so that you can forward an incoming email automatically.

Steps Involved
  • Open the Start menu and go to All Programs. 
  • Launch Microsoft Outlook from the list. 
  • Once the Outlook program comes up, select the option File and then go to Manage Rules and Alerts. Some versions of Outlook may have Rules under the option Tools. 
  • Select the option New Rule. This will bring up the Rules Wizard. You will find different headings under this wizard, like Stay Organized, Stay Up to Date and Start from a blank rule. You may choose any template from the list or go for a blank rule. 
  • Choose the necessary conditions for the incoming message. Keep in mind that the email will be forwarded only if these conditions are met. 
  • Select the option Next. 
  • Choose the option Forward, and then enter the Gmail address to which the mail needs to be forwarded. 
  • You may select any exceptions, which you wish to add to the rule. For instance, if you do not wish to forward emails from a particular person, choose the option Except if From People or Distribution List. You may add this person from the address book. Once you complete adding the email address, select Next. 
  • You may give a name to your rule and choose Finish. This will help you to forward the emails to your Gmail account automatically.
