With the popular mail service from Yahoo, you most probably have an account. Also on a Windows operating system, the Outlook Express would be present as the default email client. To the Outlook Express, the Yahoo mail can be added by following the below-mentioned Outlook Express help guidelines.

- The Microsoft Outlook Express has to be launched.
- When the Outlook Express window appears, from the top, the Tools menu is to be clicked and from the menu that appears, Accounts has to be selected.
- The tab by the name Mail has to be selected and choose Add and select Mail.
- In the Display Name field, your name has to be entered and the Next button should be clicked.
- In the E-mail address filed, the email address has to be entered and the Next button should be clicked.
- For the incoming mail server choose POP3. In the field of the Incoming Mail, enter plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com and in the field of the Outgoing Mail enter plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com and the Next button should be clicked.
- In the field of the Account name, the username of your Yahoo account has to be entered. In the Password field, the Yahoo password has to be entered. The Remember Password check box has to be checked. The Next button should be clicked followed by clicking the Finish button. You will reach the dialog box of Internet Accounts. If it is not successful, the Tools menu has to be clicked again and Accounts has to be selected.
- The plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com has to be clicked and choose Properties.
- Navigate to the tab by the name Servers and the My Server Requires Authentication check box should be marked.
- Navigate to the Advanced tab and in the field of Outgoing Mail, input 465 and the This Server Requires A Secure Connection (SSL) check box should be check marked. In the field of Incoming Mail (POP3), input 995. The check box corresponding to This server requires a secure connection (SSL) should be marked.
- The OK button should be clicked.
